Born in Québec City in 1971, Eric Lapointe was awarded a college diploma in pure and applied sciences (1988) at Limoilou College. He then studied graphic arts (1991) at Sainte-Foy College, before getting a bachelor's degree in Visual Arts (2000) at Laval University, Québec. Éric Lapointe has been sculpting in bronze for 14 years. Represented in galleries in Quebec and the United States, his work has begun to garner recognition. His sculptures can now be found in several private collections. More recently, celebrities such as Michael Schumacher have acquired some of his work. Many enterprises have also called upon his talent, such as the Festival International de Météo. In the public sphere, Quebec Ministry of Industry and the Société d'Habitation du Québec have also used his services for designing awards. This summer, his first public monument will be erected commemorating the 150th anniversary of the municipality of St. Alban.
